4) Photos, Videos, and Proof of Service

Photos and videos are an important part of how Snowsurance delivers and documents service.

Property photos after sign-up (reference photos)

  • We may take and retain photos of your property after you sign up to help crews identify the correct location and service areas.

  • Retention: We retain these photos indefinitely.

Proof-of-service photos after each visit

  • We may take photos after each service visit as proof that service was completed.

  • Retention: We retain these photos indefinitely.

Marketing photos and videos

  • We may capture photos and videos during storms for marketing or promotional purposes.

  • When used for marketing, we aim to avoid showing identifying details such as house numbers and we do not intentionally include people.

  • Retention: We retain marketing photos/videos indefinitely.

Marketing use of proof-of-service imagery

  • Proof-of-service photos may also be used for marketing or promotion without showing house numbers.

5) Data Retention

We retain customer data (including photos, contact details, addresses, emails, and texts) as needed for operations, service delivery, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and compliance. Certain categories of data—particularly reference photos, proof-of-service photos, and marketing media—may be retained indefinitely unless we choose to delete them or are required to do so by law.
