We are currently experiencing a small winter storm across the region. Here’s an update on current conditions and our plan.
FORECAST:
The storm is now underway, with steady rain across much of the Greater Boston area.
North and west of I-95, colder temperatures are allowing snow to accumulate, with light to moderate snowfall expected through this evening.
PREDICTIONS:
Most of the Greater Boston area (inside and east/south of I-95) is expected to see mainly rain and a wintry mix, with little to no measurable accumulation on pavement.
Areas north and west of I-95 may see plowable snow totals near or above our 2" service threshold by tonight.
OUR PLAN:
Customers North & West of I-95: We expect to service these areas tonight. As a reminder, our crews do not begin plowing until snowfall has stopped and conditions are safe, so please plan accordingly.
Customers Inside / East & South of I-95: At this time, conditions remain below our 2" service threshold and we are not planning service. If conditions change and snowfall begins to accumulate, we will adjust as needed.
We are continuing to monitor live conditions and will send another update this evening.
